What is a cable tie?

This prevents tying things too tight and also prevents infinite tightening if the free end happens to get caught on something (e.g., on a desk corner). Types of cable ties:

The tie should be applied so that it is at least 2 inches away from any electrical components. The structure of the hook helps prevent the hook from slipping off the loop during installation. This creates a continuous, tight wrap around the bundle with no gaps between the strap and cable bundle. The benefits of this feature include: improved protection, reduced risk of damaging the bundle by pinching it between the strap and frame or fork lift truck, reduced time needed to install bundle as fewer straps required, easy removal if required to be removed by client or maintenance personnel.

These are used for industrial and commercial purposes, bundling products such as extension cables, garden hoses and harnesses.
